Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Thaqalayn uses cookies and web storage technologies to provide essential functionality and remember user preferences.
1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
Essential cookies are required for basic site operations, such as keeping administrators and club managers securely logged into their dashboard session (`next-auth.session-token`). These cannot be disabled as the website cannot function properly without them.
2. Functional & Preference Storage
We store local preferences in your browser (`localStorage`) to enhance your browsing experience. This includes remembering your subscribed chapter state (`sub_chapterId`), theme preference (light/dark mode), and your cookie banner consent decision (`cookie_consent_choice`).
3. Analytics & Performance Storage
We use lightweight, privacy-focused anonymous event view counters (`track-view`) to measure event interest across campus chapters. We do not track users across external third-party websites or build advertising profiles.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can change or reset your cookie consent choices at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of our website or by clearing browser storage in your browser settings.
